About the Author
Emma Aylor is the author of Close Red Water, winner of the Barrow Street Poetry Book Prize. Her poems have appeared in New England Review, AGNI, Colorado Review, Poetry Daily, the Yale Review Online, and elsewhere. Originally from Bedford County, Virginia, she lives in Lubbock, Texas, where she is a PhD candidate at Texas Tech University.
About the Artist
Talia Ryan is an experimental printmaker and teaching artist. Though printmaking and book arts are her focus, her wide-ranging practice has included photography, textiles, and sculpture. PAUSA Art House hosted the first solo exhibition of Talia’s work in December 2019, and she has joined group exhibitions at the Castellani Art Museum, Nazareth College Calacino Gallery, and WNY Book Arts Center. In the summer of 2021 she was awarded an artist residency at WNYBAC, where she now hosts workshops on relief and etching techniques. She holds dual BA and MA degrees in Studio Art and Art Education from Nazareth College. In addition to working as a studio artist, she has taught in the city of Buffalo and currently in Williamsville CSD.
