Richard Jackson

Richard Jackson is the author of 15 poetry books, most recently Broken Horizons (Press 53) and 10 books of criticism, anthologies and interviews. His poems have been translated into seventeen languages and he is a recipient of Fulbright, Guggenheim, NEA and NEH Grants, and was awarded The Order of Freedom from the President of Slovenia for his humanitarian and literary work during the Balkan Wars. He teaches at UT-Chattanooga and is on the staff of the Vermont College MFA program, wining teaching awards at both institutions. His New and Select Poems will appear next year from Press 53's Silver Conch Series, and Where the Wind Comes From (monologues by biblical characters critiquing our own times will appear in March.
